What was the point of making Flo part of the Logan family, redeeming her, and putting her in a romance with a Spencer man only to send her to Siberia?

Cooper July 13, 2023, 5:52pm 5There was no point to it except that Bell got fixated on KB and wanted to keep the actress around. The character of Flo should always have been a one and done—have her show up to pretend to be the baby mama, take her cash, and leave. At most, have her come back later to confess what she did or to try and blackmail Reese for more money. Something like that. But keeping her around as Wyatt’s never before mentioned first and forever love and then making her a Logan, all in an attempt to make the audience like the character…that was just never going to work. The Logan fans were never going to forgive her her part in the baby switch, and the last thing the non-Logan fans wanted to see was another blonde Logan being celebrated and breaking up another couple. I was not overly fond of Sally, but she was more interesting paired with Wyatt than Flo was, if for no other reason than their pairing wasn’t going to be popular with everyone, as Flatt apparently was despite what Flo had done, so there might have been some potential drama there.

But now that they went to great lengths to make Flo a Logan, they would still need to explain her absence. Wyatt never mention her or Quinn for that matter. Speaking of lack of creativity, the writer can’t even write a simple exit story for Flo. And yes Flo should have stayed in prison. At least she would be off the Canvas all together. No explanation for absence needed.

What’s even worse is the time it took them to even say Quinn had some mysterious reason to suddenly leave after finally professing her love for Carter. And how long was Quinn with the show?

I’m guessing Brad Bell saw potential in the character of Flo, and by making her Logan, he thought people were going to like her and forgive her. I could not stand the character right from the beginning. I never felt sorry for her and thought she was money hungry. Bell must have finally realised that people didn’t like her and she was sent off to where the other unpopular characters go.

I think Bell thought the kidney story line would make Flo likeable to viewers. It might have worked better if Flo had given Steffy a kidney. That might have made her more redeemable than having her mother convince her to get tested to give Katie a kidney.

I liked Flo. I wish she’s get a s/l back. She and Wyatt are engaged, now we ever see or hear about her.

Whatever happened to Ivy, Maya, Massimo and many others. The show is like a revolving door, characters disappear without any explanation. It was never properly explained whatever happened to Taylor, why she was gone and stayed away for so long till they repasted the actress. Same with RJ, he just disappeared till the resent recast.
